Pak-American businessman Ijaz seeks chief justice's assurance for safety in Islamabad
Washington, Jan 31 (ANI): Pakistani-American businessman Mansoor Ijaz, a key person in the Memo Gate scandal, has sought an assurance from Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry for his safety during his visit to the country.
Insisting that Interior Minister Rehman Malik was threatening him directly and indirectly over the issue, Ijaz sent an email to Chaudhry, saying: he was "ready to come to Pakistan provided an assurance" was given that he will be given security and will be safe, The Nation reports.
Izaz insisted that if he was stuck in Pakistan, his business and family life would be affected.
Ijaz also said he would like to the Unites States on the next available flight after deposing before the apex court. (ANI)
