Death toll in Delhi serial blasts rises to 25

New Delhi, Sep 28 (IANS) Tahir, 22, who was critically injured in the first of the five explosions that rocked the capital Sep 13, succumbed to his injuries Sunday, raising the death toll to 25, a doctor said.

 

Tahir suffered multiple splinter injuries when a powerful bomb exploded in the busy Gaffar market area in Karol Bagh. He was admitted to the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital.

 

 

'Tahir was kept in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) after brain surgery. However, he later developed complications and died,' S.K. Sharma, RML's chief medical officer, told IANS.

 

 

'His family met him in the ICU a few days back and, like the doctors, were hopeful of his recovery,' Sharma added.

 

 

On Sep 13, five blasts - two in Connaught Place, two in Greater Kailash I and one in Karol bagh - ripped through the national capital within a span of 30 minutes.
