New Delhi, Nov.20 (ANI): The senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders concluded the consultations over the alleged involvement of Karnataka Chief Minister, B. S. Yeddyurappa, in a land scam, on Saturday.
Yeddyurappa arrived in the national capital to clarify his stand over his alleged involvement in the scam. The meeting was presided by the party president Nitin Gadkari.
"The party President (Nitin Gadakari) had requested the Karnataka Chief Minister and other senior leaders of Karnataka to come down to Delhi for consultations. The consultations with them have completed today. Obviously, it's too late in the late night and as and when we have anything to tell you (media) we will let you know," said senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley.
The State Government has ordered a judicial probe into the all the land transactions over the past two decades to ascertain the involvement of political leaders in manipulation of land records and allotment of plots.
Earlier, opposition leader in Karnataka H. D. Kumaraswamy has alleged that Yeddyurappa misused his position to de-notify state-owned land to favour his sons and allotted 2.5 acres of land. (ANI)
