5 Indian Mujahideen members arrested by Mumbai police

Mumbai, Sept 24 (ANI): The Mumbai police's Crime branch on Wednesday arrested five suspected members of the Indian Mujahedeen, believed to be responsible for recent blasts in Delhi, Ahmadabad and other cities.

 

They have been identified as Abdul Afzal Usmani, Mohammad Sadiq Sheikh, Mohammad Aarif Sheikh, Ahmed Zakir Sheikh and Sheikh Mohammed Ansar.

 

According to the police they have also recovered ten kilograms of ammonium nitrate, four electric circuits, sub machine gun and revolvers from the suspects.

 

The State Government announced a prize of Rs. five lakh for the police team which has arrested the suspects.

 

The police also claimed that all arrested suspects were involved in blasts in the country since 2005 including Mumbai train blasts in 2006. (ANI)
