Wellington, Aug 27 (ANI): Former New Zealand Rugby Union CEO Chris Moller has been elected the new chairman of New Zealand Cricket.

Moller will replace Alan Isaac, who stepped down after two years as chairman and 20 years on the board to take up the position of ICC vice-president.

Moller has been a New Zealand Cricket board member since September 2008, having previously held roles of NZRFU CEO and Fonterra Co-operative Deputy Chief Executive.

As chairman he will be New Zealand's delegate to the International Cricket Council (ICC) Board, Stuff.co.nz reports.

"I thank the NZC board for having chosen me to represent them as chairman," said Moller.

"I am determined to work closely with our players, administrators, volunteers and commercial partners to drive the game forward in New Zealand," he added. (ANI)
