Peter Andre set to take on Jordan with kids' book series

London , Sun, 01 Aug 2010 ANI

London, Aug 1 (ANI): Peter Andre is set to take on his ex-wife Katie Price a.k.a. Jordan in the world of publishing - by releasing his very own series of kids' books.

The singer will go head to head with Jordan on the children's bookshelves to teach youngsters the difference between right and wrong.

Friends say the move is also a dig at his ex-wife's wild publications.

"Peter has had meetings with several publishers," The Daily Star quoted a pal, as saying.

The insider went on: "His kids are the most important thing in his life and he's worried youngsters don't get taught the right values any more.

"He has come up with the idea to do a series of adventure books which all have strong underlining moral values - something you won't find in Katie's books."

Peter, who recently had success with his book 'My World: In Pictures And Words,' is currently being hounded by publishers who want him to delve into his messy divorce.

But, unlike his ex, the Aussie singer is adamant he wants to set a good example to his kids.

The source said: "Peter wants to look to the future rather than rake up the past.

"Instead of attacking his kids' mum publicly, he'd prefer to set them a good example.

"He's even thinking about making Harvey, Princess and Junior characters in the books."

But, while his books are likely to be a huge success, they are likely to infuriate Katie.

"Pete has already had a best-selling perfume just like Katie did and now he's also taking her on in the books market.

"She will probably see the new project as a direct dig at her," the informer added. (ANI)
