Abhishek had a narrow escape in Delhi blast

As the security agency is trying to get into some vital leads to the Saturday (Sep 13) serial blasts in Delhi which left 24 dead and many injured, Amitabh Bachchan has made a startling revelation in his blog that his son and actor Abhishek Bachchan was at Connaught Place when the bomb went off in the market.


The blog reads: “Abhishek had left in the afternoon for New Delhi and was on his way to Connaught Place for a function he had to attend. Minutes away from there, the traffic became a snarl and he knew he would not make it in time so he asked to turn back. And the blast happened just then!”

Reportedly, Abhishek was in the city for some promotional activities and to shoot some parts of his upcoming film Delhi 6.

One bomb was exploded in Connaught Place and one was defused by the security forces.

Meanwhile, Delhi police has detained as many as eight people in connection with the serial blasts and is haunting for the alleged mastermind Abdul Subhan alias Tauqeer, a software engineer believed to be the one who cracked the IP address to send the threat e-mail.
