London, Sun, 20 Jun 2010 ANI

London, June 20 (ANI): Eleven people, including three female cleaners, a boy and seven military personnel have been killed in a suspected al Qaeda operation to free detained militants in Yemen.

A Sky News report said the terrorists stormed the main gate of the Yemeni intelligence headquarters in Aden with guns and grenades at around 4 a.m. Saturday.

Twelve others were injured in the incident.

The state news agency SABA quoted witnesses as saying that the attackers "were seen leaving the building in a bus, taking people who had been detained there with them", in what appeared to be a co-ordinated and well-planned operation.

There were no casualties among the gang, the witnesses added. (ANI)
