Kidney patient dies as security officials prevent his entry into hospital for PM's visit
Chandigarh, Nov 3(ANI): In a tragic incident a 32-yr-old man died here on Tuesday, after he was reportedly refused to gain entry in a hospital prior to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's scheduled visit to the city.
According to reports, the patient from Ambala, Sumit Prakash, was being rushed for emergency treatment to Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) hospital, when security officials stopped him.

Manmohan Singh was in the city for a day-long visit to address the Conference of the Chief Ministers, State Ministers (Tribal Development and Social Welfare Department) and State Ministers (Forests). He also attended a special convocation at his alma mater, Panjab University, where he was honoured with the degree of Doctor of Law (Honoris Causa).
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has said that the Prime Minister is saddened by the incident.
A probe has also been ordered into the incident. (ANI)
