Beckham asks critics to stop having a go at England

London, Aug 23 (ANI): Midfielder David Beckham has told the critics to stop having a go at England after another lacklustre performance against the Czech Republic.

Fabio Capello's side were condemned for another as they snatched a 2-2 draw against the Czech Republic on Wednesday.

But Beckham, who played 80 minutes at Wembley before being replaced by Jermaine Jenas, insists it is just a matter of time before the Three Lions get it right on the pitch.

He said: "Everything's there, we feel that everything's right at the moment. We feel we've got the right players, the right manager and the right staff behind everyone. So it's all about getting our confidence up and taking it into the World Cup qualifiers."

Beckham, 33, believes England will definitely qualify for the World Cup in 2010.

But the former skipper admits the national side no longer have the right to expect to be in every major tournament.

Beckham added: "We believe we're going to qualify but we know there's a lot of hard work to be done. As long as we work hard as a team and stay together as a unit, we'll have a good chance." (ANI)
