London, Oct 22 (ANI): Michael Jackson's brother Randy has challenged the authenticity of the late singer's will, insisting the King of Pop was not in Los Angeles at the time he is said to have signed the document.
Financial adviser John Branca and music executive John McClain were handed control of Jackson's estate following his death in June (09), as per the terms of the 2002 will.
'Thriller' hitmaker's older brother had earlier revealed that his family was "fine" with the terms of the will, which provides a monthly allowance of 57,300 pounds to his mother, Katherine, who's looking after the singer's three kids.
But now, according to TMZ.com, Randy claims that his brother was in New York campaigning with civil rights leader Revd. Al Sharpton when the document was allegedly signed on 7 July 2002.
Sharpton is investigating the events of the day in question, confirming he was in New York with Jackson on 6 July and 9 July 2002.
"We have reason to believe that Michael may have been in New York on the 7th, and Rev. Sharpton will address this after he discusses it with the Jackson family," the Daily Express quoted Sharpton's spokesperson as saying.
However, the lawyer of the estate Howard Weitzman insists witnesses to the will were present when Michael had signed the will. (ANI)
