Miandad advises 'non-performing' senior players to take rest from international cricket
Lahore, Aug.18 (ANI): Former Pakistan captain and batting consultant of the national team, Javed Miandad has asked the non-performing senior players of the team to take rest from international cricket.
Miandad said there is no place for non performers in the team.
"If a senior player is not performing well, then he should himself decide to rest," The Nation quoted Miandad, as saying.

Interacting with under-16 players at the National Cricket Academy here, Miandad said: "Only performer can remain in the team otherwise no one has the right to be part of the team if he is not contributing."
When asked about Shoaib Akhtar, he said the controversial fast bowler must perform to be a part of the team.
"No one has stopped any player from playing including Shoaib Akhtar but one who performs in the ground could only survive and remain in the team," Miandad said.
Miandad asked batsmen to be more open about the flaws in their technique and temperament if they wanted to overcome their problems.
"What I believe is that batsmen should be aware of their problems and should be willing to openly discuss them with me. I'm sure I can give them helpful tips," he said. (ANI)
