Amitabh @ 65 still rocks Hindi cinema; will remain an enigma

Oct 11: Amitabh Bachchan, who stepped in his 65 th year today, kept his birthday celebration low because of his ailing mother Teji Bachchan, who is critically ill. Though this B’Day is a quite one with no celebration fans and media gathered at his house and Bachchan did come out and thanked everybody.

Big B tagged with the Star of the Millennium has gone through many high and low points in his life and at the same time comes out as a winner whether it personal or professional. As one of the finest actors who spell magic in every minute reckons the face of Indian cinema that labels him as a living legend.

Voice from the past

The star of the millennium came to this earth on 11 th October 1942. No body knew that he will acquire such a tall stature in the world of cinema.

Though his life seems to be a fairy tale but the road to this status was never easy. Once he nearly missed death during an accident on the set of Coolie and next he fought to come back to life’s marquee when his Company ABCL was on the verge of bankruptcy.

He strived back with a bang and once said on his ups and down of life “No one can go through life without their share of knocks. I am no different from any other”.

He lost his famous poet father Harivanshrai Bachchan in 2003 but he never looked back after any low down and time did the rest adding name and fame.

He became the Brand Ambassador of Peace for The United Nations, and voted as the Super Star of the Millennium in a poll conducted by BBC, beating the likes of Marlon Brando and Charlie Chaplin. He got Legion’s d Honneur France’s highest civilian award for his contribution to Indian and International Cultural life.

His voice once refused by Vividh Bharti, has added aroma to his personality and had won him many accolades. He landed his voice and narrated both English and Hindi version to an Oscar winning documentary “Penguins, A Love Story”.

The tag “angry young man” becomes a phenomenon of Amitabh, and in his early year of film career justified it. As an actor he had won many awards with three National Awards including the latest one for the movie BLACK. His acting talent and his on going contribution to Bollywood has brought him to many national and international reorganisation. This is the reason that On June 9, 2007 he was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Art by Chancellor of the University Brandan Foster by the Leeds Metropolitan University in Yorkshire.

In the movie “Kaalia” Amitabh Bachchan said in a famous dialogue, “Hum jaha pe khade ho jaate hain, line wahi se shuru hoti hai!", which means the queue starts from where I stand; certainly at this age he still guides the Hindi Cinema Industry. This can very well understand with the amount of movie and endorsement he is doing with no full stop ---

Amitji is the legendary actor & no one can surpass him i saw 110 movies of mr bachchan &in every movie his acting is un forgetable

By the way, that dialogue in the article from Kaalia was delivered by Bob Bhristo, and not Amitabh Bachchan.
