Supreme Court refuses plea to interrogate Modi in Haren Pandya murder case
New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to give a direction to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to interrogate Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in connection with the murder of former Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya in 2003.
A bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan said, "There should be some basis in the allegation.

The Court was hearing the petition filed by Vithal Bhai Pandya, father of Haren Pandya who was killed on March 26, 2003, seven month after he quit the Modi Gujarat Government.
He was killed under mysterious circumstances when he had gone to the park for a morning walk.
Pandya's father himself made the submission and later the bench allowed senior advocate Magan Bhai Barot to make further submissions about the case. (ANI)
