Revocation of AFSPA should be left to Centre: Ansari
Srinagar, July 4(ANI): Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari on Saturday suggested that the issue of troop withdrawal and revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) from Jammu and Kashmir should be left to the Centre.
Ansari, who was the chairman of a working group on rehabilitation and Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) that recommended withdrawal of security forces and revocation of the AFSPA from Jammu and Kashmir besides rehabilitation of surrendered militants.

Brigadier Mohd Usman memorial function was solemnized at Jhangar, Naoshera to commemorate the sacrifices of Brigadier Mohd Usman, MVC and other valiant soldiers who laid down their lives for saving their motherland in 1947-48 operations in Naoshera Sector.
Ansari graced the memorial function along with relatives of Brigadier, which included wreath laying by the Vice President, unveiling of the bust of Brig Usman, interaction with war veterans of Naoshera sector and troops deployed on LC in Naowhera sector. By Tahir Nadeem Khan(ANI)
