Her role of a rebellious girl in 'Tanu Weds Manu' got rave reviews and film was a commercial success.
Her Family still resides in the small town of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. Besides her parents, she has an elder sister and younger brother in her family. Her ancestors were Rajputs from Rajasthan who later settled in Himachal Pradesh.
