Sanjay khan and Akbar Khan are his uncles while film actor Zayed Khan and Suzane Khan are his cousins. These things facilitated him to choose acting as a career.

Born on March 8, 1974 in Mumbai to Feroz Khan and Sundari (mother) he did his schooling from Jamnabai Narsee in Juhu. Further the actor went to University of Massachusetts, USA to study business management but he never completed the studies. His debut movie Prem Agan did not do well on the box office but Fardeen managed to win Filmfare Best Debut Award. However his second movie directed by Ram Gopal Verna did average business on the box office and his acting got appreciated. His next movie Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya where he was starred opposite the then successful actress Urmila Matondkar was critically acclaimed. Later her films like Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Hum Ho Gaye Aapke, and Kitne Door Kitne Paas could not do well on the box office.

This actor has acted in over dozen of films and has played hide and seek with the hits and flops.

Fardeen Khan is married to Natasha Madhwani since 2005. The couple is blessed with a daughter.
