Dia Mirza is an Indian model and actress, She is also the winner of Miss Asia-Pacific 2000.

Dia Mirza is an Indian model and actress. Born as Dia Mirza Handrich on December 9, 1981 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh to father, Frank Handrich, a German graphic and industrial fair designer, architect and artist mother, Deepa a Bengali Hindu, an interior designer, landscaper and social worker; this model turned actress has recently ventured into film production with her beau Sahil Sangha and good friend Zayed Khan. They have recently released a movie ‘Love Breakups Zindagi’ under her banner born free entertainment.

Let us throw some light on the life of this beautiful girl who finished as a second runner up in Femina Miss India 2000. Her parents get divorced when she was only six. His father died three years after the separation. Later her mother tied the knots with Ahmed Mirza who died in 2004.

Dia adapted the surname of her birth father and became Dia Mirza. Recently she has adapted surname of her birth father and has become Dia Mirza Handrich.

For schooling she attended Vidyaranya High School for Boys And Girls. Later she joined Nasr School, in Khairtabad. Afterwards she attended Stanley junior College. For Graduation she enrolled herself to Andhra Pradesh Open University, Hyderabad.<

She started working at the tender age of 16 as a marketing executive. She also took some modeling assignment from Walls, Lipton, Emami. After winning the title of Miss Asia Pacific she debuted in Indian film industry famously called bollywood with movie ‘Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein’ opposite R. Madhavan. The film was not a commercial success. She has worked in others. She has also done a role with negative shade in the movie Acid Factory. Her recent release ‘Love Breakups and Zindagi was not a commercial success. Her next films Johnny Mastana and Alibaug are under production.
