The Super Kings are back with a Bang at IPL 2009-04-21
If balance if key to winning IPL cricket matches then Chennai Super Kings surely figure right at the top. With a deadly combination of big hitters, possibly the best captain, magic spinner and top all-rounders, CSK has everything going for it, now they just need to lift the IPL cup. Well, at least they should.
The latest addition to the Chennai Super Kings star gallery is Andrew Flintoff, one of cricket’s top all-rounders. Apart from Flintoff, the India Cements team, which was bought for $91 million also, boasts of great players like Mathew Hayden, Muralitharan, Ntini, Mike Hussey, and not to mention Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian Captain.
CSK were widely touted to lift the inaugural IPL title but it was not to be and they could only manage to come runner’s up. Chennai Super Kings imitating their 2008 IPL performance have got off to a tremendous start and thrashed Bangalore Royal Challengers in their first IPL encounter.
