Cavity or tooth decay is one of the commonest and most frequent problems across the world and across all demographic categories men and women are most concerned about their fine pair of teeth, if not anything at least for a better appearance. Symptoms of cavity or decaying tooth decay which are more common in children than elders represent a constant concern for parents. As per etymology cavity means a hollow and in dental science cavity refers to the typical hollow in the gum that carries food debris. Cavity happens basically due to a bacterial infection by these dental carries inside the hollow in the gum or deposit of food debris in other portions surrounding the teeth. Cavity is the direct cause of dental pain, decay and premature loss of teeth in people. Cavities in many people at the initial stage does not cause any pain or visible signs of decay but can lead to permanent tooth decay if remained untreated. Clinical description

Cavity is a disease that manifests in decaying of the teeth and oral health. Cavity is basically the outcome of a bacterial infection that causes destruction and demineralization of hard tissues belonging to teeth like dentin, enamel and cementum. This decay is initiated by the deposits of food debris that without being cleaned from the nook and corners of teeth and gum sticks to the surface of the teeth and in the long run causes fermentation. Symptoms of cavity manifests mainly in decaying gum and erosion of teeth and gradually make way for complete loss of teeth or grave oral bacterial disease like Pieria. Some food habits play an important role in degrading oral health while lack of oral cleaning held to be most responsible for tooth decay in most people. Certain foods, especially the sugary and sticky substances like chocolates, candy, ice cream tend to pose greater risk for tooth decay. This is why children who generally are more attracted to these staff become most common victims of tooth decay or symptoms of cavity.

Though the symptoms of cavity begins with the fermentation of the food deposits sticking to your teeth and gums that gradually eats away the enamel and other minerals of the teeth by being affected with a bacterial infection, the development of the decay to take root and to come out with visible symptoms it takes time. The effects of dental carries are variable from one person to another and accordingly the effects of tooth decay and the symptoms.   1. Tooth ache.
  2. Bad oral odor or bad breath.
  3. Spots on the teeth, either visible from inside or only appearing inside the teeth.
  4. Increasing sensitivity or pain to teeth, especially when eating something hot, cold or sweet.
  5. Holes or pits in the teeth or gum.
  6. Bleeding gum.
  7. Pain in biting food stuff.
  8. Pus in the root of the tooth or in gum.
