The risk factors of having anal cancer can be of very different types and these risk factors can be classified into two major types, respectively as life style oriented risk factors and prevailing health condition oriented risk factors. The major risk factors associated with anal cancer include infection through HPV virus, having many sexual intercourse partners, playing receptive role in the anal intercourse, having fistulas or abnormal openings nearby anus, extremely painful syndromes of piles, anal redness and frequent swelling, soreness and pain in the anal path, etc.
